New arrivals at the Hansa Quarter

If you didn't already know, the Hansa Quarter, better known simply as Hansa, is a shopping centre that spans an entire city block in the centre of beautiful Turku. Over the past three years, the legendary mall has undergone major redevelopment that is now complete, barring a lick of paint here and and there.

So what treasures are now concealed within the walls of Hansa?

Well, foremost in the thoughts during Hansa’s renovation was ease of access, connectivity, comfort and guidance. All the corridors have been renovated, with the aisles widened and accessibility generally improved. The covered courtyard in Hansa has the magnificent ‘Cloud’ lighting installed above, creating wonderful light installations that can be adapted for different seasons and events. Customers have been provided with more seating and areas to sit, with the addition of numerous charging points for phones and tablets. This all sounds pretty good, doesn't it?

Plenty of wonderful new stuff has been added without losing all that was great before.

Another result of the renovation are the new stores under Hansa’s roof: Clas Ohlson, the charming Moomin Shop, the underwear store Change Lingerie as well as two stores with men's fashion, Volt and Dressmann. And the extra flavour doesn’t end there, as the famous Taco Bell, serving spicy Mexican cuisine, has swelled the culinary ranks along Eerikinkatu street.

So plenty of wonderful new stuff has been added without losing all that was great before. Come for a visit and take a look at how magnificent the new Hansa Quarter looks.
